We’ve been awarded again! On April 2, 2026, Kosmotive received the Sustainability Trailblazer Award at the Rwanda Women in Business Awards (RWIBA) 5th Anniversary and Male Allyship in Action Summit, themed “From Acknowledgement to Action: Building a New Blueprint for Male Allyship.” The room brought together industry leaders from banking, government agencies, NGOs, hospitality, transportation, and beyond, a powerful cross-sector gathering of decision-makers who are actively reshaping Rwanda’s business landscape. To be recognized among them validates our efforts to make environmentally friendly period products.
Sustainability Is Embedded in Our DNA
At Kosmotive, sustainability is the foundation of how we build and operate. We maximize our resources to deliver impact to communities in Rwanda and across Africa. Our flagship product, KosmoPads, offers women and girls a reusable, chemical-free alternative to conventional disposable pads. That means fewer harmful products ending up in landfills, and fewer chemicals coming into contact with women’s bodies. Every pad we produce is an act of care for the person wearing it and for the planet.
Our model goes further than our product and initiatives. We provide decent employment to women and youth, putting economic agency in the hands of people who need it most. Every scrap from our production serves a purpose. We sell our production waste to businesses that recycle it into functional materials. This allows us to close the loop and keep our environmental footprint as small as possible.
Acknowledgement Is Only the Beginning

The theme of this year’s summit asked us to move from acknowledgement to action. At Kosmotive, we have always believed that the two must go together. This award is a reminder to keep going and to keep building.
